The Naperville Area Humane Society has been helping the community’s animals since 1976. I am a big supporter in animal care and rescue, and with that I have volunteered my creative abilities to help elevate the marketing for the organization while also alleviating the typical cost of a photographer or videographer. This is an organization and cause that I hold dear to my heart.

Goals:

• Capture high-quality, personality-driven portraits and videos to help animals stand out on adoption pages

• Produce compelling photo/video content optimized for social platforms to boost likes, shares, and overall visibility

• Document events, behind-the-scenes processes, and success stories to support donor campaigns and volunteer recruitment

• Learn to adapt to unpredictable subjects (animals!), limited space, inconsistent lighting, and tight schedules

• Demonstrate my ability to work with a nonprofit and create work that drives measurable outcomes

Creative Direction Statement:
Th products that come from this volunteer work focuses on capturing the heart of every shelter animal—their hope, their resilience, and their desire to be seen. Through gentle, natural imagery and honest, intimate moments, the visuals aim to reveal each animal’s true spirit and create an instant emotional connection. The direction is warm, compassionate, and uplifting, designed to inspire empathy, spark joy, and help every animal feel one step closer to home.
